A NEW beauty salon could be opening in Wallingford after replacing an existing estate agents.

Polly Robinson has applied to South Oxfordshire District Council, the planning authority, to change the change of use of a building in St Marys Street into a salon.

The building is currently used by Homebase Property Management who own the Grade II listed building and will be leasing the space to Ms Robinson.

The salon has proposed the opening hours of 9am to 5pm on Mondays to Fridays, 9am to 2pm on Saturdays and closed on Sundays.

Wallingford Town Council has no objections to the application and has recommended the planning authority approve it.

The district council hope to make a decision by Monday, August 22.
