THREE men have been arrested after a teenager was stabbed.

It happened after a fight broke out between four men and two women on Church Street in Wantage at around 12.56am this morning.

The victim, who is a man in his teens, was taken to hospital but has since been discharged.

Thames Valley Police officers have arrested three people in connection with the incident.

A 25-year-old man, from Oxford, was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent, affray and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

A 19-year-old man from Wantage and a 17-year-old boy from Kidlington were also arrested on suspicion of affray.

Investigators will have 24 hours to question them before making a decision to charge them or release them.

Detective Sergeant Nathan Adby, based at Abingdon police station, said: “We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have information about what happened to please come forward.

“Also, we’d ask anyone in the local area who may have dash-cams or CCTV to check the footage in case it has captured something that could assist with the investigation.
