A BOOKSHOP in Wallingford has been sold to one of the long-term staff members.

The Wallingford Bookshop, in St Martin’s Street, has now been bought Helen Longworth who has worked at the store for three years.

Ali Jinks, who has been running the store for 14 years, decided to sell the shop but she remain working there part time.

On Facebook, she said: “Helen has worked tirelessly at the bookshop for the past three years especially during the coronavirus restrictions.

“She built our website, answered emails, delivered books, and arranged school fairs -  I could not be happier that she is the bookshop’s new owner.

“I cannot thank my lovely customers enough for all the support and love you have given me over the years. It has been, and will always be, an honour and a privilege.”
