A WOMAN could be facing a fine for allegedly being in control of a dog at the time it injured someone.

Monica Murray-Hamilton, 63, of Rectory Lane, Henley, has been charged with being the person in charge of a dog “dangerously out of control” it “caused injury”.

On May 13 last year, a Rottweiler named Potter was alleged “dangerously out of control” in Rectory Lane that it injured a man.

According to the Government’s website, if found guilty the defendant could receive an unlimited fine or/and be sent to prison for up to six.

They may not be allowed to own a dog in the future and the dog may be destroyed.

Murray-Hamilton was convicted on April 28 this year and was due in Oxfordshire Magistrates' Court on July 21 but the case was adjourned.
