THERE has been one more coronavirus death recorded over the latest weekly period in South Oxfordshire.

A total of 283 people had died in the area when the UK coronavirus dashboard was updated on Thursday, November 17 – up from 282 on the week before.

The deaths were among 25,390 deaths recorded across the South East.

The figures include anyone who died within 28 days of a positive test result for covid-19, and whose usual residence was in South Oxfordshire.

A total of 172,376 deaths were recorded throughout England by Thursday, November 17 – up from 171,680 last week.

This year there have been more than 20 million cases of people contracting the virus across England.
