Tributes have been made to a 26-year-old man who was tragically found dead in South Oxfordshire earlier this week.

Charlie Beeston, from Chinnor, was reported missing on Saturday, February 18 with police finding his body the day after on Monday, February 19 in nearby woodland.

The death is being treated as unexplained, but not suspicious and a file will be prepared by Thames Valley Police for the Oxfordshire coroner.

The family have announced that they will be closing their coffee shop, Millie’s Deli, in the village for the time being as they process their loss.

An online statement said: “I’d like to let everyone know that the body discovered yesterday in Chinnor was sadly my brother Charlie Beeston.

“At this time we as a family are processing the news and will therefore be taking a little time away from Millie’s deli to deal with this.

“Thank you for everyone’s support during this time.”

Many took to social media to pay their respects following the news.
