Secretary of state for science Michelle Donelan was given a tour of a research institute near Didcot on an official visit on February 9.
Ms Donelan was welcomed by Didcot and Wantage MP David Johnston to the Rosalind Franklin Institute at the Harwell Science and Innovation Campus for her first official visit in her new role.
She met leading scientists before taking part in demonstrations of the biology laboratory equipment in use the institute.
