Jewellery has been stolen in a spate of burglaries in South Oxfordshire.

Three addresses were targeted in Abingdon yesterday (February 22) evening between 4pm and 10:45pm.

Homes on Norreys Road, Cumnor Road and Lashford Lane were broken into as police appeal for witnesses.

Police believe that the offenders gained access to the address on Cumnor Road, Boars Hill at 8:40pm by entering through a first-floor window and taking a jewellery box.

It is thought they were then disturbed by the owners and left through the same window.

Between 6pm and 10:45pm a home on Lashford Lane in Dry Sandford was broken into as a rear glass door was smahed.

A quantity of jewellery was stolen with the house left in a messy state.

The third house on Norrey Road, Cumnor was broken into between 4pm and 8pm by either smashing a rear glass door or entering through a first-floor window.

Once inside the offenders carried out a search and stole a quantity of jewellery.

Police are appealing for witnesses and for residents to review CCTV, doorbell footage and dashcam footage in the area.
