Oxford MP Layla Moran has reacted to the news that three Oxfordshire teenagers died in a crash in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

Three teenagers, two men aged 18, and one man, aged 17, were pronounced dead at the scene in Marcham after emergency services arrived.

A silver BMW left the road in the early hours of the morning and crashed into a tree.

The driver of the vehicle, an 18-year-old man, was taken to hospital with life threatening injuries.

Three of the victims have been named as Ethan Goddard, 18, Daniel Hancock, 18, and Elliot Pullen, 17.

One other teenager, aged 18, has been named by Thames Valley Police as Ethan Goddard on Thursday morning.

Oxford West and Abingdon MP Layla Moran told the Oxford Mail: “I was deeply sorry to hear about the passing of three teenagers in Marcham.

“As is seen by the outpouring of grief, their loss will be felt across the whole community.

“I would like to share Thames Valley’s appeal for witnesses and information related to the collision."

Ms Moran said her “thoughts and condolences” were with the victims’ families at this “devastating time”.

Authorities said at 10.30am on Wednesday, June 21, the driver of the vehicle, an 18-year-old man named locally as Tom, remains in hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Tributes have been left at the scene before and after the road was closed by police for investigations into the crash.

A Liverpool shirt hung to the tree where the crash took place were among the tributes left at the scene in Marcham which took place on the Frilford side of the village.

A family statement released on Wednesday afternoon said Elliot was a Liverpool supporter.

Pictures of two of the victims alongside flowers were also left outside Abingdon and Witney College, where two of the boys went to school.

Tributes have continued to pour in from the community.

One woman paying tribute called Victoria said: "You were all far too young to have been taken.

"You have left holes in so many hearts.

"I hope your family and friends will find comfort in knowing of the love and laughter you have shared with so many and will be sorely missed."

Miriam Simons said: "Very very heartbreaking.

"My son is friends with the boys involved.

"It really shook me when I heard of this tragedy and my heartfelt thoughts are with all the families affected.

"You are in my prayers."

Thames Valley Police has appealed to anyone who witnessed this incident or may have dash cam footage prior to the collision to get in touch.
