A construction company has partnered with a Didcot primary school for a welcome card competition.

Taylor Wimpey Southern Counties joined together with Aureus Primary School to deliver the contest which saw pupils from years four and five display their artistic talents.

The winning designs, created by Eliana, Zivah, and Ankita, will be given to new residents at the Valley Park development in Didot as a friendly greeting to their homes.

The victorious trio were given their choice of vouchers, and a £200 donation was made to the school in gratitude for its participation.

Rosamund Wells, sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey Southern Counties, said: "We are thrilled to have taken part in this welcome card competition with Aureus Primary School.

"It's lovely to witness the creativity and enthusiasm of the children and we are proud to contribute to the development of artistic skills within the community."

Taylor Wimpey Southern Counties also recently organised a Christmas card competition at a school in Wantage with a donation being made to Wantage Primary Academy.

Construction has started at Valley Park, where the first phase will offer a range of one and two-bedroom flats and two to four-bedroom houses.

Further information about the upcoming Valley Park development can be found on the Taylor Wimpey website.
