A Didcot-born charity has launched its fourth Easter egg appeal to bring smiles to children and their families in hospital.

Play2Give is looking to collect Easter eggs to deliver to the Oxford Children's Hospital, siblings and families in the NCU at the John Radcliffe Hospital via SSNAP (Support for the Sick Newborn and their Parents).

The charity, founded by Andy Baker from the town, will be welcoming donations until March 25th.

After three successful Easter appeals, an appeal first launched by the charity in 2020, Play2Give's drive last year saw a record 700 eggs donated by the community with the charity amassing almost 1,300 in total.

The group said: “We hope to collect as many eggs as possible again, so that as well as children and families in hospital we can also deliver the cheer joy and smiles of chocolate treats to Viking House in Oxford and to Helen and Douglas House.”

Cornerstone Arts Centre, Coronet Bingo Hall and Bizzy Bees Café all in Didcot and The Lambourn on Abingdon Business Park have all been confirmed as drop off points with several more which can be found online.

People can also donate online, and the money raised will be used in purchasing Easter eggs. The eggs will be delivered by the bunny on March 26, in time for Easter.

People wishing to get involved and for a full list of donation points can find more information on Play2Give's website.
