Wantage schoolchildren have been making hotels for creepy crawlies with the help of a local wildlife expert.
The children are in the Small Steps project which is organised by Down to Earth Community Café made bug hotels, bird feeders and willow stars.

Wildlife expert Tom Page from Wild Wantage helped the children with their creations which is the latest happening in the Vale of the White Horse District Council grant funded project.
Director, cook and organiser Kate Farrington said: “The Small Steps project offers breakfast, a homework club, and a range of environmental activities run by local organisations for children in Key Stage Two.
“The project is held on a Saturday morning to students at the following schools: Stockham Primary, Wantage C of E, Millbrook Primary, Charlton Primary, St Nicholas CofE, and Wantage Primary Academy.”
