Residents and staff at a care home in Chipping Norton had a "fantastic time" celebrating National Sausage Roll Day earlier this week.
The celebration took place at Southerndown Care Home on June 5.
Led by head chef Andrei, a variety of fillings and flavour combinations were created including traditional meat fillings, plant-based alternatives, different pastry flavours and some sweet versions.
General manager Arlene said: "It wasn't just the residents that were excited when we found out there was a Sausage Roll Day, the eyes of the staff lit up too.
"Who doesn't love a sausage roll? They really are the ultimate comfort food.
"We have all had a great time trying out new recipes and different flavours and ingredients, we'll be applying for Bake Off next."
One resident said: "I absolutely love sausage rolls. There is just something so satisfying about them.
"We have had lots of different flavours to try, I never thought I’d say this but I really liked the veggie ones. It has all been truly delicious."
The home's life enrichment programme aims to keep residents active, and provides a daily choice of physical, mental and spiritual activities tailored to residents’ interests and abilities.
Southerndown Care Home provides nursing care, residential care and respite care and is run by Barchester Healthcare, one of the UK’s largest care providers.
