An Abingdon-based law firm has expanded its team as it anticipates an increase in demand due to employment law reforms proposed by the government.
Crossland Employment Solicitors has hired Saif Khan as an assistant solicitor. Mr Khan, who qualified in 2022, joins the team based in Milton Park.
He will assist in the delivery of daily employment law advice, settlement agreements and contract reviews.
With new Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer pledging to introduce an Employment Bill within his first 100 days in office, Crossland is expecting a higher demand for advice on how the changes will impact businesses.
Mr Khan said: "Having known most of the team before joining, it was clear there was also a good culture at Crossland which has only been reinforced since my appointment.
"For me, specialising in employment was a simple choice as it provides the opportunity to work in an area which impacts businesses and individuals alike.
"As especially evident this year, it’s also an area of law that constantly evolves, which provides the regular challenges I enjoy."
Barry Ross, managing director, added: "Saif has already slotted into our long-established team brilliantly and is playing a key role alongside our other young talent, James Wallwork and Jade Dunsden."
The employment law firm's team has more than 114 years of experience across its six solicitors and barristers.
