A total of 13 flood alerts have been issued for Oxford and Oxfordshire as well as surrounding areas.
The Environment Agency said several rivers in the county could flood due to the levels rising overnight.
Of the 13 alerts issued, it includes the River Cherwell and its tributaries from Lower Heyford down to Oxford including Rousham, Enslow, Thrupp, Hampton Poyle and East Kidlington.

Other alerts issued by the agency include:
- Flooding of low lying land and roads is possible, especially in the Shipton-under-Wychwood and Woodstock areas. The weather forecast is for further rain heavy at times. River Evenlode from Moreton-in-Marsh to Cassington including, Kingham, Bledington, Milton-under-Wychwood, Shipton-under-Wychwood, Ascott-under-Wychwood, Charlbury, Fawler and Long Hanborough and also the River Glyme at Wootton and Woodstock.
- Clanfield Brook for Clanfield Village and the Shill Brook for Bampton.
- Langford and Wendlebury Brooks and their tributaries from Stratton Audley down to the M40 near Merton, including Bicester and Wendlebury.
- River Leach from Northleach to Mill Lane near Lechlade including Fyfield and Little Faringdon.
- Flooding may affect low-lying land and roads adjacent to the River Leam between Grandborough and Leamington including Kites Hardwick, Birdingbury, Marton, Eathorpe, Hunningham and Offchurch and the River Itchen between Southam and Marton including Long Itchington. Locations most affected will be low lying land and roads near rivers.
- River Ray and its tributaries from Shipton Lee to Islip, including Ludgershall, Blackthorn and Murcott.
- River Thame from Marsworth to Dorchester including, Long Marston, Rowsham, North Aylesbury, Cuddington, Thame, Ickford, Wheatley, Drayton St Leonard, Overy, the Horsenden Stream at Princes Risborough and the Chalgrove Brook at Chalgrove and Stadhampton.
- River Thames and its small tributaries from Calcutt to Lechlade including The Marston Meysey Brook and The Downington Brook.
- River Windrush from Bourton to Newbridge including Burford, Asthall, Minster Lovell, Crawley, Witney, Ducklington, Rack End and Standlake.
- Sor Brook and The Bloxham Brook and their tributaries from Horley and Bloxham to and including Adderbury.
- Low-lying undefended areas of the River Nene between Daventry and Billing. Tributaries may also affect Daventry, Weedon, Badby, Nether Heyford, Bugbrooke, Blisworth, Collingtree, and Moulton.
The agency said: "We are closely monitoring the situation .
"Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. Avoid low lying roads, near rivers, which may be flooded."
