CARNIVAL fever hit Wallingford last Saturday as thousands of people joined the celebrations.
Carnival princess Daisy Nisbet led the procession of floats through the Market Place and Kinecroft as people packed into the town centre to watch.
This year’s theme was ‘The Good Old Days’.
Attractions included an eagle and vulture show and The Goring Growlers Dog Display.
Organiser Nina Bunce said the bad weather didn’t put people off the celebrations.
She said: “It was a good turnout and I think everyone had a really nice day.
“The performers were great and there was a nice atmosphere that the weather couldn’t dampen.”
The carnival was opened by the mayor Colin Dolton and international actor Albert Moses, who lives in Wallingford and whose film credits include two James Bond films, Octopussy and The Spy Who Loved Me.
