PRIMARY school pussy cats will strut the stage in an am dram panto.

School children and students from the Karen Brind School of Dance will join the Puss in Boots production which opens tomorrow night.

The show, put together by Wantage's Jigsaw Stage Productions, runs at the Old Mill Hall, Grove, today Saturday, and at Drayton Village Hall tomorrow.

Jigsaw are not only hoping to break a leg this weekend, they're also banking on raising some all-important funds for their next production – Oliver!

Group spokeswoman Chris Jones said: "It's been a very busy autumn for Jigsaw.

"As well as panto rehearsals, we've also been busily – and successfully – auditioning for an Oliver and Dodger and for members of Fagin's gang.

"However we would still welcome a few more boys aged seven to 12 years old for the chorus."

In this weekend's show, Peter, with the help of his magical cat, attempts to bravely rescue the beautiful Princess Pamela from the clutches of the evil Creepmouse.

Jigsaw promise 'a wonderful start to the festive season for all the family'.

Puss in Boots plays at Old Mill Hall at 2.30pm and 7pm today, and Drayton Village Hall tomorrow at 2.30pm and 7pm.

Tickets, at £7 (£5 concessions), are available from Brett's Pharmacy, Grove, or online at wegottickets.com/Jigsaw
