A WOMEN'S Institute group donated £775 to Oxfordshire's disability support charity Style Acre.
East and West Hendred WI spent the past year raising funds for Style Acre, including a quiz night at Snells Hall, East Hendred, in October joined by more than 85 people.
On Thursday, January 25, the group held its 97th birthday celebrations, and president Jennie Cosgrave used the gathering to present Style Acre community fundraiser Anita Powell with a cheque.
Mrs Cosgrave said how pleased the WI were to be associated with such a worthwhile charity and Ms Powell thanked all the members for their generosity and support.
The funding windfall comes after Style Acre was rated Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission in January, putting in the top two per cent of adult social care services.
