Cristina Hills sells her handmade gifts at Sew Very Vintage in Wallingford

IF you’ve never visited Sew Very Vintage before, you’ll be very surprised at the vast range of items we offer, from clothing and jewellery to craft supplies, kits and handmade bespoke gifts.

The shop stock is forever changing, with new handcrafted one-off items being made available from the shop daily. We also offer many bespoke items that can usually be made to order to ensure they meet your specific needs.

With the festive season fast approaching, lots of our customers are already starting their Christmas shopping. Many of the handmade items I offer are one-of-a-kind, making them fantastic, unique gifts. Last week I rearranged my unit in Sew Very Vintage to allow a larger variety of items to be displayed. A lot of these are priced affordably, idea for stocking fillers, so be sure to pop in and see what’s new.

I’m excited to be offering a range of handmade money-saving frames from Sew Very Vintage. These are a great way to motivate yourself, friends or families to save up spare cash for that special holiday, shopping spree, honeymoon or a new baby. I will be introducing 'Christmas Saving' frames in the next week, to help spread the cost of Christmas gifts. The frames leave the cash visible whilst being hung on the wall or sat on a shelf, encouraging all to save. I can make these to order, customising them with names, dates or special words of your choice. Each frame is made with 3D embellishments and a pre-cut Perspex front to allow you to post notes and change through the front of the frame. These are a really unique and a fashionable way to save up for any occasion, making them the perfect gift idea. If you would like a quote for a specific frame, drop me an email at cristinasquirkycrafts@gmail.com or pop into the shop to discuss.

With Bunkfest just round the corner, I am busy making new stock for this annual event. The Wallingford Craft Hub will be having its own marquee in the Kinecroft where a variety of 'make and take' workshops will be held, as well as handmade gift items being sold. I will be offering a range of new crafted pebble frames from inside the marquee, as well as a range of other handmade items made especially for the event.

Custom orders are now being taken for bespoke Christmas pieces – such as tree decorations - made to order using upcycled scrabble tiles to create any name, finished with realistic 3D snow paint. These have been very popular in the shop and online through my etsy shop over the last few years, and the order book is now open.
