Sir, Just in case it goes under the radar, I am writing on behalf of all the poor drivers who got caught up with the traffic nightmare on Monday, November 17.
I had to travel four miles to Sutton Courtenay from Didcot. It normally would take 10 minutes. This journey took two hours.
To make it worse, I had been called to my mother’s as she was terminally ill with cancer. Sadly, she passed away before I could get there.
I appreciate this was one of those things, but there were thousands of drivers, all delayed by two hours. Whoever is responsible deserves to be punished very severely, and the Herald should inform us whose fault it is.
I have been told that the lights at the roundabout, outside the entrance to the power station, were there without permission, so it looks like more than one person needs punishing, naming and shaming.
