Sir, I was disgusted to read of the way the Sainsbury’s store in Wantage treated a member of HM Forces (in a letter from Mrs Moss).

Do they not realise the number of local people that were once serving members, relatives of serving members and those that appreciate the great sacrifices that these young men and women are making for us to live in peace.

It will be Remembrance Sunday this weekend when we as a nation remember the war dead — has Sainsbury’s forgotten already?

Sainsbury’s should change its policy immediately to include the armed forces’ ID card system and apologise to Mrs Moss’s son-in-law for the appalling treatment he received.

I’m sure that they do not want to lose the custom of Mrs Moss or any other like-minded people. The ball is in your court, Sainsbury’s. Get a grip, there are other supermarkets.
