Sir, I am researching my family history and l am trying to find the details of the death of Thomas Bowsher, born circa 1802, died January 21, 1840. He was a carter and his cause of death was said to be ‘accidental’. There was an inquest held on January 21, 1840. He lived in Lambourn, Berkshire. Berkshire records do not have any inquests before 1875 and the Newbury Weekly News was not published then.
There is no mention in the Berkshire Chronicle or the Reading Mercury. Can you help?
I live in Devon and age and arthritis prevent me travelling to your part of the country.
I will be very grateful for any help your readers can give. Susan M Rixon The Gables King Edward Road Axminster Devon EX13 5 PP
