Former Oxford United left back Paul Powell has agreed to sign for Uhlsport Hellenic League Division 1 East side Milton United, writes Nick Farrant.
Powell, 34, made 177 appearances for the U’s and later played for Tamworth and Brackley before joining Didcot Town, helping them win the FA Vase, the Premier Division title and eventually promotion to the Southern League Premier Division.
Powell played for Didcot Casuals in the North Berks League last season.
Milton have also signed the former Wantage Town pair of midfielder Ross Tyler and striker Rob Joyce, plus Casuals midfielder Daniel Cox-Rodgers.
Meanwhile Wantage Town’s new boss, Gary Ackling, has agreed terms with the ex-Abingdon United pair of midfielder Steve Davis and defender Mark James.
He has also signed the former Thatcham Town midfielders Robbie Sadler and Tom Melledew, who has also played for Abingdon United
