A late gamble paid off as Wallingford fought back from 2-0 down to earn an dramatic 3-3 draw away to overnight leaders Oxford in Regional 1 of the South League.
Trailing 3-2 with a couple of minutes left, Wallingford took off their keeper, and with the extra outfield player, managed to force a short corner.
This chance was well converted by Steve Marks to secure the visitors a draw.
It looked bleak for the visitors when Dan Bleach and Dan Smyth put Oxford 2-0 ahead in the first 20 minutes.
After some good inter-play, Ed Allen converted a short corner and Tony Malloy netted from open play to make it 2-2 at half-time.
Oxford regained the lead through Bleach midway into the second half, before the keeper ploy saved the day.
