Jack Powell scored and was then sent off after coming on as a substitute as Didcot Town made it two wins out of two in 2016 with a 3-1 win at home to Slimbridge on Saturday.
He was shown the red card for a tackle which caused a flare-up in this Evo-Stik Southern League Division 1 South & West clash.
Didcot took the lead in the fifth minute when Luke Carnell headed home Josh Dutton-Black’s corner.
Slimbridge equalised against the run of play in the 26th minute when Paul Fahy netted after Didcot had failed to clear a corner.
Just after the hour, the hosts went back in front as Andy Ballard’s trademark long throw found Luke Carnell.
His header found Adam Learoyd, whose effort took a deflection and rolled into the net.
The Railwaymen doubled their advantage when Powell curled his effort into the top corner.
But the game ended on a low note with his sending off.
Last week, Didcot were hit when striker Lance Williams joined league rivals North Leigh.
