BEN Claridge recorded a season’s best but missed out on a place in the 400m final at the British Indoor Championships in Sheffield.
The White Horse Harrier (pictured), who also competes for Abingdon, finished second in his heat to reach the semi-finals.
Claridge then finished fifth in 48.44secs, missing out on the final by 0.22.
