NORTH Leigh’s play-off hopes look over after a 3-2 home defeat at the hands of Mangotsfield.
John Brough’s side trailed 2-0 at half-time in the Evo-Stik Southern League Division 1 South & West clash.
Lewis Powell put the visitors ahead from the penalty spot before Liam Monelle doubled the lead with virtually the last kick of the opening period.
Mitch Tippins made it 3-0 on 56 minutes, and although Roger James and Michael Hopkins set up an exciting finish, the Millers could not find an equaliser and remain 14 points off the top-five.
Didcot Town twice went ahead at home to Taunton Town, but lost 3-2.
Andy Ballard’s side took the lead in the 18th minute when Louis Joyce fired home after a great ball from George Reid.
The visitors levelled six minutes later through Craig Veal, but Ben Whitehead slotted home from the penalty spot on 59 minutes to restore Didcot’s advantage.
Ollie Chamberlain made it 2-2, before Taunton missed a great chance to go ahead when Jordan Rogers’s penalty was saved by Leigh Bedwell.
But Owen Irish won it with six minutes to go.
