WANTAGE Town survived a late scare to see off Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division strugglers Woodley United 3-2 on Monday night.
Joe Grant, Ben Willoughby and Steve Robertson gave Town a 3-1 lead, but the hosts hit back.
Late on the crossbar denied Woodley a deserved equaliser, as Wantage stayed third.
The club advanced in the Reading Invitation Senior Cup last Tuesday with a 6-2 win over Woodcote/Stoke Row.
Paul Alder, James Glover, Ryan Markham, Jack Powell, Stephen Robinson and Ben Willoughby netted.
On Saturday, Tom Butler scored twice to help Abingdon United beat Lydney Town 4-2 at Northcourt Road.
Callum Harvey and substitute Dejon Noel-Williams were also on target in the Premier Division encounter.
In the East Division, Milton United beat AFC Aldermaston 2-1 at home, thanks to goals from Jamie Davies and Ryan Donnelly.
