ALEX Lynn was unable to finish the FIA Formula E Championship on a high in the final rounds in New York.
The DS Virgin Racing driver crashed out of Saturday’s race, before finishing 14th of the 15 finishers on Sunday.
Lynn, from Grove, came 16th in the driver standings with 17 points.
On Saturday, a spectacular incident cut his race short with ten laps to go as he lost the back end of his car and smashed into a wall.
It resulted in a gearbox change and a subsequent ten-place grid penalty for Sunday, which saw him start from the back.
Grove-based Panasonic Jaguar Racing came sixth in the team standings.
Mitch Evans and Nelson Piquet Jnr failed to finish Saturday’s race, before crossing sixth and seventh respectively in the last round.
