ABINGDON’S Jeanette Ashton clinched gold in the W60 heptathlon at the British Masters Combined Events Championships in Sheffield.

Clubmate Pete Stepney took silver in the M55 decathlon, with Steve Pomeroy claiming bronze in the pentathlon.

Meanwhile, Oyare Aneju set a personal best to finish fifth in the intermediate boys triple jump at the New Balance ESAA English Schools’ Championships.

The Radley AC under 17 athlete leaped 13.77m at the event in Birmingham.

Clubmate Adam Chesterman came ninth in the junior boys (U15) discus with an effort of 38.33.

In the intermediate girls hammer competition, Radley’s Ella Lovibond threw 53.03 for sixth place.

Teammate Eloise Hind was eighth in the junior high jump with a pb of 1.58.
