DIDCOT Town saw their two-goal lead wiped out when falling to a 4-3 defeat at Yaxley in the Evo-Stik South League.

The Railwaymen were quick out of the blocks in the Division 1 Central fixture, David Murphy firing home the opener on eight minutes.

Didcot continued to pile on the pressure and doubled their lead ten minutes later when Sam Barder squared for George Reid to score.

The hosts reduced the deficit against the run of play on the half-hour mark through Tom Waumsley.

And Didcot were left stunned at the break, Kyle Nolan scoring for Yaxley to make it 2-2.

The home side completed the turnaround when Dan Cotton fired home, before Charley Saunders made it 4-2 with a quarter of an hour to play.

Didcot refused to give up and Reid fired home to set up a frantic finish.

And Morgan Williams had a chance to equalise late on, but he shot straight at goalkeeper Ollie Sutton.

North Leigh’s winless run was extended to seven games in all competition when they were beaten 4-2 at home by Cambridge City.

The Millers started well and took the lead when Roger James netted his first of the season.

Cambridge went on to dictate proceedings and fine finishes from Lewis Whitehead and Ebby

Nelson-Addy saw them go 2-1 up at half-time.

The visitors extended their advantage on 65 minutes when an effort deflected off Josh Pinn and looped over loanee goalkeeper Tom Molloy.

But the Millers were given hope five minutes from time when Jack Tutton scored from the penalty spot after Noah Alabi had been brought down.

Cambridge made sure of the points in injury time, though, Nelson-Addy netting his second.

Julian McCalmon was beaten in his first game back as Kidlington manager as the league’s bottom side lost 2-1 at Welwyn Garden City.

The deadlock was broken on 62 minutes when Stuart Zanone fired the home side in front.

Nicholas Elliott made it 2-0 with seven minutes to go, before Declan Benjamin scored a late consolation for Kidlington, who suffered an eighth defeat in nine league games.

Thame United lost 3-1 at home to Kempston Rovers.

Mark West’s side took the lead on 37 minutes when an Aston Goss cross was headed home by Tom Ashworth.

But they were pegged back just before the break, Shane Bush equalising for the hosts.

Benjamin Acquaye’s second-half double then secured victory for Kempston.

Giorgio Rasulo missed a penalty as Banbury United’s poor run continued in a 1-0 defeat at home to Royston Town in Premier Division Central.

James Potton’s 25-yard strike in the 92nd minute proved the difference as Mike Ford’s side’s winless run was extended to seven games.

Banbury could have fallen behind in the first half, but Manny Agboola saved Rohdell Gordon’s penalty.

And they had an opportunity from 12 yards themselves, but Rasulo’s 86th-minute spot kick hit the inside of a post and bounced clear.

Just when the game looked to be heading for a draw, Potton let fly from distance in injury time with an effort which left Agboola helpless.
