OXFORD City will be looking to respond quickly to their weekend defeat when Chippenham Town visit tonight.

Having won 5-0 against Hemel Hempstead Town in the Emirates FA Cup a week ago, City lost 3-1 against Chelmsford City in the Vanarama National League South on Saturday.

Boss Mark Jones said: “We have to bounce back strongly.

“It will be another tough game, but we have to show good character.”

Wantage Town lost their first home game in the Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division season when they went down 4-3 against Flackwell Heath.

Steve Robertson (2) and James Glover were on target, but Heath won it in injury-time.

Tobias London continued his strong goalscoring form with a double in Ardley United’s 3-3 draw at Lydney Town.

Dan Leggett also scored, but Ardley let a 3-1 lead slip.

Shrivenham claimed their first home win with a 2-1 success against Tuffley Rovers, thanks to goals from Lewis Petrie and Sean McKeown.

Nathan Baker notched Abingdon United’s consolation in the 2-1 home defeat to Brimscombe & Thrupp.

Her first strike was a

long-range effort in the 28th minute.

And the scoreline stayed the same until stoppage-time, when Fyfe made the points safe to lift the U’s to fifth.
