FRANKIE Musonda’s goal 15 minutes from time earned Oxford City a 1-1 draw against Chippenham Town last night.

The Luton Town loanee was in the right place when Josh Ashby’s free-kick was spilled by visiting keeper Bradley House in the Vanarama National League South clash.

City, who named Sam Nombe in their line-up after he rejoined on a two-month loan from Milton Keynes Dons earlier in the day, were on top early on.

Nombe went close when his rasping shot was tipped onto the bar by House before Rob Sinclair forced another save from the Chippenham keeper.

However, City could not find a breakthrough and were made to pay just two minutes after half-time when Nat Jarvis bundled home from close range.

Home keeper Craig King made a fine save to keep the score at 1-0.

But when House spilled Ashby’s set-piece, Musonda sealed a point.

Oxford City: King Godwin-Malife (Wiltshire HT), Jefford, Ashby, Musonda, Oastler, McEachran, Fleet, Tshimanga, Sinclair, Nombe. Subs not used: Caro, Fassanmade, Jones, Bawling.

Banbury United booked their place in the second qualifying round of the Buildbase FA Trophy with a 3-0 replay victory over Swindon Supermarine.

Didcot Town also went through after a thrilling 4-2 win at Mangotsfield United after extra time.

After a goalless first half, Greg Kaziboni fired Banbury ahead, before soon doubling the lead.

Ricky Johnson hit No 3 to set up a home tie with Hayes & Yeading United.

Didcot went in front when Adam Learoyd headed home a Morgan Williams corner on 11 minutes.

The hosts hit back through Jordan Williams (32) and Luke Spokes (55).

Cameron McNeill levelled with the last touch of normal time, before Andy Ballard and McNeill scored in extra time to set up a clash at Folkestone Invicta.
