WANTAGE Town got back to winning ways with a 2-1 home win over Ascot United in their Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division clash.
A three-game losing streak looked like being extended when the visitors went ahead on 16 minutes through Nathan Minhas.
But Wantage levelled on 32 minutes when Chris Jackson’s header hit a post but rebounded into the net off the unfortunate Lee Allen for an own goal.
And their comeback was complete six minutes from time when Steve Robertson fired home the winner.
Ardley United saw off Brimscombe & Thrupp 4-2 thanks to goals from Troy Bryan, Tobias London, Deon Gallacher and Conor Harris.
Shrivenham went down 3-1 at home to Bishops Cleeve, while Abingdon United still prop up the league after they fell to a 1-0 defeat when hosting Windsor, the winner coming three minutes from time.
Wallingford Town won 4-2 at Wokingham & Emmbrook in Division 1 East thanks to goals from Charlie Silkstone, Ashley Searle, Laurie Atchison and Luke Williams.
But Chinnor went down 3-1 at home to Woodley United, despite Ben Knowler’s strike.
In Division 1 West, captain Adam Pendall headed a dramatic injury-time equaliser as Clanfield drew 1-1 at Newent.
North Leigh United, however, were on the end of a 10-1 drubbing at Almondsbury.
