OXFORD Hawks came from behind to beat University of Bristol 3-2 in their Men’s Conference West clash.

The hosts went ahead on 21 minutes when Jack Biggs struck the woodwork and Andy Watts turned home from Ed Tristem’s cross.

But Bristol hit straight back to level within two minutes, and just 90 seconds later went ahead.

Hawks equalised soon afterwards when Freddie Foster fired high into the net from close range.

Home goalkeeper George Oyebode produced a stunning save after the break to keep honours even.

Hawks went on to score the winner with eight minutes to go when Biggs fired home to move his side to within four points of the leaders.

Will Heywood hit a hat-trick as Oxford OBU won 7-5 at Marlow in the MBBO Regional Division 1.

Worcester Bowden, Joey Brownhill, Zum Akhter and Simon Culmer were also on target in a thrilling victory.

The victory leaves Oxford just three points off top spot.

A goal from Dan Wallis proved in vain for Witney, as they went down 2-1 at Oxford University 2nd in their mid-table clash.

Wallingford were unable to make it back-to-back wins when falling to a 1-0 defeat at Ashford.
