ANDY Watts scored a late equaliser as Oxford Hawks drew 2-2 with Havant in their Men’s Conference West clash.

The result sees both sides miss the chance to close on the leading teams, but still sit in the chasing pack.

Hawks were on top in the early stages but could not convert the openings they created.

And they needed goalkeeper George Oyebode to produce one superb save and keep them on level terms.

The hosts went ahead five minutes before the break, Jack Biggs firing home from a penalty corner.

Havant gradually got on top after the break and went ahead through two penalty corners.

But Hawks hit back for the point they deserved when Watts levelled with 15 minutes remaining.

Oxford OBU secured a 3-1 home win over previous leaders PHC Chiswick in the MBBO Regional Division 1.

Will Heywood, Zum Akhter and Sean Cox were on target in an impressive team performance, which saw Oxford come from behind to take maximum points.

Tim Chilvers scored both goals as Witney drew 2-2 at home to Ashford.

After the defender fired the hosts ahead, Ashford hit back to take the lead, only for a late goal from Chilvers to secure a share of the spoils with a superb drag-flick.

Tom Ferris and Alun Lloyd scored as Wallingford drew 2-2 at home to Sonning.

much-improved second-half display.

Hawks goalkeeper Jess Hughes was forced into several early saves, but could not stop the visitors going ahead midway through the opening half.

But the hosts hit back after the break to snatch a point.

Witney lost 2-1 at Reading in Division 1 of the South League.
