OXFORD United have been handed an away tie at Brentford in the third round of the Emirates FA Cup.

Karl Robinson’s side will take on the Sky Bet Championship club over the weekend of January 4-7.

United, who sit 19th in League One, progressed to the third round, thanks to wins over Forest Green Rovers and Plymouth Argyle.

It is the fifth time in eight seasons the U’s have progressed this far in the competition.

The sides last met in a competitive fixture in 2015 when United stunned the Bees 4-0 in the first round of the League Cup.
