DIDCOT Town’s eight-match unbeaten run came to an end in a 3-1 loss at second-placed Bromsgrove Sporting.
Despite the defeat, the Railwaymen remain fifth and inside the Evo-Stik South League Division 1 Central play-off places.
And they are four points ahead of the chasing pack ahead of this Saturday’s Oxfordshire derby at fourth-placed Thame United.
Jason Cowley and Craig Jones put Bromsgrove 2-0 up but Callum McNish's injury-time strike gave Didcot hope of earning a draw, before they conceded a third on 94 minutes.

The hosts started the brighter, but did not force goalkeeper Leigh Bedwell into a save until the 21st minute.
The Didcot stopper then pulled of a fine stop just after the half-hour mark.
But the visitors fell behind moments later, when Cowley fired past Bedwell at the back post on 34 minutes.
Didcot had a penalty shout on Lance Williams turned down at the start of the second half.
And they fell 2-0 down on 61 minutes when Jones headed home a free-kick.
McNish made it eight goals in his last five games as Didcot gave themselves hope in the first minute of stoppage-time.
The Railwaymen went in search of an equaliser, but Bromsgrove made the points safe when Cowley scored on the counter.
Meanwhile, Callum Harvey hit a hat-trick as Abingdon United beat Binfield 4-0 at home in the Uhlsport Hellenic League.
Tom Butler was also on the scoresheet in the Premier Division fixture.
