EDDIE Pepperell carded a four-under-par 68 to climb the leaderboard at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship this morning.
The Abingdon golfer has moved to six under for the tournament and is joint 23rd after the second round.
Pepperell is six shots behind leader Shane Lowry.
The Frilford Heath member, who carded a two-under-par 70 yesterday, started well from the tenth when birdying his first hole.
The World No 35 then picked up another shot at his sixth, before a bogey at his eighth curtailed his progress.
But Pepperell enjoyed a superb final nine holes to move towards the upper reaches of the leaderboard.
The only blemish was a dropped shot at his 12th as four birdies helped the 27-year-old move to six under.
Pepperell begins his third round at 7.06am (GMT) tomorrow, partnering former World No 1 Martin Kaymer.
