OXFORD Hawks earned an impressive 4-1 win at home to leaders Olton & West Warwicks.

The hosts fully deserved the victory on the back of beating Reading in the EH Cup.

Harry Golding gave Hawks an early lead in the Conference West clash, but the visitors levelled on 16 minutes.

The hosts made a fast start to the second half and Jack Biggs’s drag flick was deflected home by Andy Watts.

With time running out, Olton removed their goalkeeper in the hope an extra outfield player would salvage a point.

But Hawks added to their tally through Watts and Freddie Foster.

Oxford OBU suffered a 3-2 defeat at home to Ashford in MBBO Regional Division 1.

Zum Akhter and Tom Boon were on target.

Oxford University 2nd beat Wallingford 3-1 away.

Tommy Goldberg, James Hawrych and Harry Style scored for the visitors, with Tom Ferris replying.

Witney fell to a 4-1 defeat at OMT, Ben Kirk scoring the visitors’ consolation goal.

In MBBO Division 1, Bicester drew 2-2 at Sonning 2nd.

Ollie Hartley put the visitors 2-0 up at the break.

But Sonning improved to earn a share of the spoils.

Oxford Hawks were unable to start the second half of the Investec Women’s League season with a win as they were edged 1-0 at Reading.

Goalkeeper Jess Hughes was beaten by a well-struck short corner which hit both posts before crossing the line.

Katie Lowe and Emily Smith went close to equalising for Hawks, but they were unable to earn a point.

In South Clubs’ League Division 1, Witney were beaten 3-2 at Teddington.

Abi Florey’s penalty flick put the visitors in front, but the hosts hit back to lead 3-1.

Witney rallied, Hayley Dobson scoring from a short corner, however they were unable to find an equaliser.

Oxford battled from 2-0 down to beat Sonning 3-2 at home in Division 2.

Beth Williamson, Rachael Lammey and debutant Amelia Baron scored.
