OXFORD Hawks made it five games unbeaten in all competitions when claiming four points from their double-header.

The side emerged 5-1 winners in their visit to Bristol University on Saturday, before drawing 2-2 with hosts Cardiff & Met 24 hours later.

The results leave Hawks fourth in Conference West and four points off leaders Olton & West Warwicks.

Against Bristol, a Jack Biggs strike from a short corner put the visitors in front, before Kit Cutter quickly doubled their lead.

Ed Tristem, Olie Lobo and Andy Watts added to their tally in the second half, before the students hit a late consolation.

Hawks faced a stiffer test against Cardiff, who took the lead from a short corner.

Watts quickly levelled, before making 2-1 at the break, thanks to a superb diving effort.

Hawks were reduced to nine players at one point as cards were flourished in the second half, before Cardiff equalised.

Witney edged Wallingford 3-2 in MBBO Regional Division 1.

The visitors led 2-1 through Connor Blakey and Tom Ferris.

But Witney hit back through Tim Chilvers, Justin Peel and Ryan Fitz-John.

Zum Akhter scored twice as Oxford OBU earned a 6-2 win at Sonning 2nd.

Milo Wrenn, Sean Cox, Simon Culmer and Jamie Bloomfield also netted.

Oxford University 2nd played out a goalless draw with Oxford Hawks 2nd.

Oxford Hawks suffered heavy defeats in Conference West of the Investec

They were beaten 4-0 at home by Gloucester City on Saturday, before suffering a 3-0 defeat at Isca on Sunday.

In South Clubs’ League Division 1, Witney lost 4-2 at home to London Wayfarers.

Sunny Wallis and Katie Gatt were on the mark for the hosts.

Kate Pugh earned Oxford a point in a 1-1 draw at Trojans 2nd in Division 2.
