EDDIE Pepperell continues his run of tournaments in North America today when he tees off at the Arnold Palmer Invitational.

The Abingdon golfer qualifies for the exclusive field at Bay Hill, Florida, thanks to his ranking inside the world’s top 50.

It comes on the back of his World Golf Championships debut last month, where the 28-year-old finished 67th in Mexico.

Pepperell will be hoping to feature higher up the leaderboard when he gets his first round under way at 4.47pm (GMT) alongside Charley Hoffman, from the United States, and South Korea’s Sung Kang.

His involvement in the tournament means he is not defending his title at the Qatar Masters, which also starts today.

Pepperell won in Doha by a single stroke 12 months ago to claim his first win on the European Tour.
