MALACHI Napa has been named among the Oxford United substitutes for today's clash with AFC Wimbledon.

It is a surprise to see the winger back, with boss Karl Robinson last month saying he did not expect to see Napa back until pre-season following an illness

But having returned to light training in recent weeks, progress has been rapid and the winger, who spent the first half of this season on loan at Macclesfield Town, is now back.

Robinson said: "Malachi has trained really well.

"He's a great young man, full of energy and has a zest for playing.

"Just having him in this dressing room will give us a bit of a kick.

"We felt he deserved a chance, especially with what he's been through over recent months.

"He's had a very difficult time medically and has worked very hard to put himself in this position."

United have made four changes to the starting XI, two of which are enforced by suspensions to Ahmed Kashi and Marcus Browne.

John Mousinho and Gavin Whyte replace them, while Jerome Sinclair comes in for Jamie Mackie.

Mark Sykes completes the changes, coming in for top scorer James Henry.

Robinson said: "I went with Jamo in some of these big games because he's played for big clubs and is used to pressure situations.

"I felt Sykesy did really well, but with the situation we were in I thought we needed experienced heads.

"Now we've cemented it (the club's League One status), we believe, there's an opportunity to see what he's like for the forthcoming seasons."
