TICKETS for Oxford United's Carabao Cup quarter-final against Manchester City will go on sale this afternoon.

The last-eight fixture has been confirmed for Wednesday, December 18, with a 7.45pm kick-off.

It will be televised live by Sky Sports, netting United a substantial windfall.

United cut prices for the fourth-round tie against Sunderland, which sold out last week, but normal league rates will apply for the meeting with Pep Guardiola's Premier League champions.

From 4.30pm today season ticket holders, members and flexi-ticket holders can purchase one ticket each online.

They will then be available from the ticket office at the Kassam Stadium and by phone from 9.30am tomorrow (Tuesday).

Other supporters who are on the club's database will be able to purchase tickets online from 5pm on Monday, November 11.

Any remaining seats can be bought in person or on the phone from 9.30am on Tuesday, November 12.

The OX3 and OX7 Football Special buses will operate as for a normal evening league match and it is hoped there will be a park and ride facility.

Last season's meeting with City in the third round sold out, with 11,956 watching the 3-0 defeat.
