OXFORD United will discover their Emirates FA Cup third round opponents tonight.

The draw is being made from 7pm, when clubs from the Premier League and Sky Bet Championship enter the competition.

There are also five non-league sides in the mix, although AFC Fylde are the only team through.

United are into the last 64 for the sixth time in eight seasons, having beaten Hayes & Yeading United and Walsall so far in this campaign.

Derek Fazackerley, United's first-team coach, said: "I think for clubs at this level and below look at the start of the season and one of the goals is to get to the third round and possibly a big draw against one of the glamour teams.

"If it’s not we just have to accept it, do our best to win it and get one in the next round.

"You have mixed emotions about the draw, because you want to go as far as you can in the competition.

"So to do that you want to avoid one of the big ties, but if it happens then great, we’ll make the best of it."

Having already knocked West Ham United out of the Carabao Cup on the way to the quarter-finals, United will fancy their chances against anyone, according to Elliott Moore.

The defender said: "100 per cent, I think we showed that with the West Ham game.

"People might have thought we’d get chucked out, but we’ve shown we can handle situations like that.

"I believe whoever we get in the next round we could handle the occasion and hopefully push into the fourth round."

The ties are due to be played between January 3-6, so United's League One clash with Accrington Stanley on January 4 will be postponed.
