SIMON Eastwood admitted the scoreline flattered Oxford United as they were “battered” by a Peterborough United side who netted twice with ten men.
The U’s were steamrollered 4-0 at London Road by an in-form Posh side recording their fifth straight win in Sky Bet League One.
Even Nathan Thompson’s dismissal for a second bookable offence on Marcus Browne just after the hour mark did not slow the hosts down.

Ivan Toney, who ran riot with Sammie Szmodics, scored twice against a mistake-ridden United side.
It was United’s heaviest defeat since suffering the same scoreline at Barnsley on the opening day of last season, but the goalkeeper knew it could have been even worse.
“They could have had three or four more,” Eastwood said.
“I think we played a very good team and I think we were really poor.
“It probably shows with their striker (Toney), I think he’s been linked with the Championship and he looked light years ahead of us at the back, bullying the defence and causing a problem.
“We couldn’t get near him or a couple of their better players and players like that will punish you.

“We got battered to be honest. In the second half when they had ten men we still got battered.
“It’s the truth, there’s no hiding place.”
The game was relatively even until Siriki Dembele opened the scoring on 36 minutes after Cameron Brannagan gave the ball away cheaply.
Eastwood said: “It was quite cagey, but one mistake especially at the level you’re playing against you’ll get punished.
“It’s a cool finish and then your backs are against the wall.”
He added: “It’s a disappointing day and disappointing for the fans to see that. It’s nowhere near good enough.”
