ALEX Gorrin could need to wait for a return as Karl Robinson considers sticking with his attacking line-up at Ipswich Town tomorrow.

The Oxford United head coach named an adventurous XI in midweek which paid off in style with a 5-0 home win over AFC Wimbledon.

It was expected they would be more conservative for the visit to Sky Bet League One play-off rivals Ipswich this weekend.

Gorrin, who is available again after suspension, has been one of the U’s key players this season, but the displays in his absence have given Robinson food for thought.

“It’s great to have Alex back, but it’s really created a bit of a problem for me, because our last two performances have been very good,” he said.

“We’re trying to create a culture here of being aggressive on the front foot, about developing people in the right way.

“There’s no fear in being attacking.

“I think sometimes we’ve been over-cautious and too negative.

“We’ve got caught in between two places and that’s when you find yourself getting lost and not knowing where to go.

“When you’re all moving in one direction, that’s what you get.

“Does our attacking side of our game worry Ipswich, or do they see that as an opportunity to exploit us in other areas as well?

“But if we sat back and were more defensive there would be aspects of that performance that they would think they can pick off.

“We’re not 100 per cent sure which way we’re going to go, but I wouldn’t be fearful of playing the same team.”
