OXFORD United will play their first warm-up game today after getting the all-clear in the latest round of coronavirus testing.

A friendly earlier this month was cancelled after two people, understood to be players, returned positive results.

But the pair’s period of self-isolation ends today and the good news for United is the issue was contained.

With the latest round of testing coming back negative, it will allow head coach Karl Robinson to name a full squad against the unnamed club.

United have only played games against themselves since returning from furlough, so the chance to take on another side will be important as they build up to the Sky Bet League One play-off semi-final against Portsmouth.

It is thought no-one will play for more than an hour as they build up the match fitness ahead of the first leg at Fratton Park on July 3.

Portsmouth, who lost 3-1 to Reading last weekend, had a second run-out yesterday.

They drew 1-1 away to Brentford.
