OXFORD United have been linked with another move for Scotland international Stephen O'Donnell.

Karl Robinson's side reportedly made a bid in the region of £200,000 in January, but the right back, who has 11 senior caps for his country, turned down the move.

He stayed at Kilmarnock until his contract expired this summer, so is now a free agent.

O'Donnell has yet to commit to a new club, but the former Luton Town defender told the Daily Record a move south of the border appealed.

While the U's are mentioned as still being interested, the 28-year-old is holding out for a move to the second tier.

He said: "I feel a wee bit like I have unfinished business in England - I didn’t feel I did myself as much justice as I should have done.

“I would love to see if I was good enough to play in the Championship.

“I’m still pretty relaxed though.

“I think it’s dangerous to put a timeframe on it because if I do but then that comes and goes then I start to panic.”

United never managed to sign a right back in January as a replacement for Chris Cadden, who was recalled from his loan by Columbus Crew.

Sam Long and Anthony Forde shared the role, but it is an area Robinson could look to strengthen this summer.
