FREE-SCORING Oxford United Women continued their stellar start to the season with a 4-1 home win over Cardiff City Ladies.
The fifth win in six games kept them top of the FA Women's National League Southern Premier Division.
Emily Allen put them ahead after just seven minutes in front of a crowd of 248 at Court Place Farm.
Georgia Brown headed in Lauren Haynes's 20th-minute corner, although Cardiff quickly reduced the arrears with a goal of their own.
Summer signing Hannah Mackenzie restored the two-goal advantage just after the hour mark by opening her account via another header at a corner.
Molly Peters quickly added a fourth to put the game out of sight.
U's boss Liam Gilbert was particularly pleased to see Brown get on the scoresheet for the first time.
He said: "GB's been at the club for three years now, she's been out on loan for two years so for her to get that goal is special, just because of the time and dedication she's put into it.
"Goals are coming from different places. It's always great when you're not relying on one or two individuals."
